What shapes a price in United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates is a villa-and-tower market: a Dubai job is decided by the building management's move-in permit, the service lift booking and the loading bay, not by the few kilometres between addresses. Crews are almost entirely expatriate, prices are quoted in dirhams with 5% VAT, and Cerrax sells here only to VAT-registered firms.
- What does it mean for a price to be computed from the job?
- Every input is a fact about the move rather than a judgement about the customer: the volume being moved, the distance travelled, the access at each end, the crew and vehicle required, and the time the work takes. The same set of facts always produces the same price, so two people in the same firm quoting the same move cannot arrive at two figures.
- Does it stop me overriding the price?
- No. You can always override, and the override is recorded with your reason. The system proposes and you decide — the point is that the starting number is consistent and explainable, not that judgement is removed from the business.
- Is it a CRM?
- No, deliberately. Cerrax prices jobs, proves the price was right, and helps you run the job it priced — the diary, and which crew are on it. What it does not do is your customer records, contact history, pipelines, marketing or fleet management. Those stay with whatever you already run. It is a pricing layer that sits alongside your system rather than replacing it.
- How does it know what to charge in my area?
- It starts from a governed baseline and calibrates against your real jobs and their real outcomes. It never calibrates against what you or anyone else quoted — quoted prices are guesses, and fitting to guesses rebuilds the inconsistency the system exists to remove.
