What shapes a price in Denmark
Denmark is compact enough that almost any domestic move is a single day's work — the country fits inside a few hours' driving, and the Great Belt crossing is the only leg that behaves unlike ordinary road distance. What decides a job here is the stairwell, not the motorway: Copenhagen's older apartment blocks are dense, frequently lift-less, and sit on streets where cycle lanes and permit parking make the loading position itself a variable.
- What does it mean for a price to be computed from the job?
- Every input is a fact about the move rather than a judgement about the customer: the volume being moved, the distance travelled, the access at each end, the crew and vehicle required, and the time the work takes. The same set of facts always produces the same price, so two people in the same firm quoting the same move cannot arrive at two figures.
- Does it stop me overriding the price?
- No. You can always override, and the override is recorded with your reason. The system proposes and you decide — the point is that the starting number is consistent and explainable, not that judgement is removed from the business.
- Is it a CRM?
- Yes — for winning and running jobs: enquiries in one list, a pipeline with follow-ups and a reason for every lost job, and a report of which lead sources win work — on the same record as the price and the job itself. It does not do bulk marketing or bookkeeping: won jobs can go to your own Xero as draft invoices, or your own Sage as invoices, and if you already run a CRM you like, Cerrax works alongside it.
- How does it know what to charge in my area?
- It starts from a governed baseline and calibrates against your real jobs and their real outcomes. It never calibrates against what you or anyone else quoted — quoted prices are guesses, and fitting to guesses rebuilds the inconsistency the system exists to remove.
