For removal firms

Quoting software for removal firms that prices the job.

Tell Cerrax what is being moved and where. It works out the crew, the vans and the hours the job needs, then turns those hours into a price you can explain line by line. You can change that price whenever you like.

The price comes from the job, not from who is quoting.

A quote is built in three steps, in the order the reasoning runs: the job, the plan, the price. Nothing on a later step brings in anything the earlier one did not show.

  • The job: the addresses, the miles between them, the volume, who is packing, and what it takes to get in and out at each end.
  • The plan: how many people, how many vans and how many days, and where every hour goes — the load, the drive, the unload and the access work.
  • The price: what that day costs. Every line traces to an hour, and every hour to a fact about the job.
Step 3, The price: Cerrax prices this at £1,679.31, still learning the area so likely between £1,427 and £1,931, four people over about 11.6 hours across two days. Below, 'What it's built from' lists the crew time, the mileage, the stairs and an extra day, totalling £1,679.31, stamped with the engine version that priced it.
The price step on a real quote from the product: the price, the range, the crew and the hours, and the lines it is built from.

Describe the job the way it reaches you.

You do not fill in a grid of cubic measurements. You type the job as the customer said it, speak it into the microphone, or photograph a written list.

  • “3-bed house, piano, two flights of stairs” is enough to start. Cerrax reads it and proposes items.
  • Each item's volume comes from a fixed table of cubic metres, not from a guess by a language model. A model may propose items; it never sets a volume or a price.
  • You confirm the items before anything is priced. If the reader is unavailable, you pick items by hand and the quote still prices.
  • A customer can film their home from their quote page. The video sits on the job while you price it; the price still comes from the job you confirm.

The same job gets the same price.

With the same rates, the same job comes out at the same price whoever enters it and whichever day they do it.

  • Every quote carries the version of the pricing engine that produced it, so a job can be replayed later and gives the same figure.
  • When the job is too close to the edge for the engine to price on its own, it says why and hands the decision to you.
  • Where Cerrax has little local evidence, it shows a range and says so instead of presenting a firm figure.

Your rates, and your call.

You set the figures the engine prices with — the numbers you would defend on an invoice. A removal price is a number you can explain, and it stays yours to change.

  • Any price can be overridden. The override is kept with the job, not discarded.
  • Once there are enough of your closed jobs, Cerrax can propose a correction to a rate and say by how much. You approve it, or you do not.

What it does not do

It does not decide your rates, and it does not let a model set a price. If you would rather see it work before you trust it, the price check takes a job you have already quoted and shows the plan and the price it comes back with.

Questions about the quoting

Will two people quoting the same job get the same price?

Yes, with the same rates. The price comes from the facts of the job, not from who entered it, and each quote carries the engine version that produced it so the same job can be replayed later.

Does an AI set the price?

No. A language model can read what you type and propose the items. The volume of each item comes from a fixed table, and the price is worked out by the pricing engine, which is arithmetic. You confirm the items first.

Can I change the price Cerrax gives me?

Yes. Any price can be overridden, and the override is kept with the job.

What if the job is too awkward to price?

It says so, gives the reason, and hands the job to you. It does not guess a figure to fill the gap.
